Overall Design Feeling – A Modern and Strong Expression
Arkethane’s Anthracite Modern Bathroom project strongly expresses minimalist aesthetics compatible with contemporary villa/residential architecture. By preferring an anthracite grey palette on wall, floor, and furniture surfaces, the depth of the space is increased, while simplicity and timelessness are adopted. This grey tone gives the space a sophisticated silence and highlights other design elements on a neutral palette base.
Material and Surface Selections – Lacquer & Quartz:
Lacquer Coating:
Lacquer paint is used on cabinet surfaces; smooth and glossy textures strengthen the minimalist line.
These surfaces add modern dynamism to the space by reflecting light in a controlled way. (Background lacquer surfaces are emphasized in the project.)
Quartz Sink Countertop:
The sink area is equipped with a quartz countertop, providing both aesthetic and hygienic advantages. The quartz surface offers functional superiority in bathrooms with its high resistance to scratches and stains and its non-porous structure.
This material creates a contrast with the anthracite background and offers a rich surface experience between different textures.
3. Color and Texture Balance – Contrast and Mood:
Anthracite grey makes the space strong, clear, and calm. This tone, preferred on both floor and wall surfaces, makes the area appear deeper and more flawless.
The dominance of deep grey rather than calm neutral colors in the room brings the bathroom to the center of modern residential aesthetics.
The use of anthracite or dark grey tones on wall and floor coverings, which are among the most important elements of the space, provides visual continuity and makes the bathroom appear larger.
4. Light and Spatial Perception:
The lacquer effect on wall and cabinet surfaces provides controlled reflection of light, balancing the brightness of the space.
While the stability of the anthracite tone gives a strong atmosphere to the space, it creates contrast with the lighting used (daylight or artificial lighting) and increases spatial depth.
