Luxury Neoclassical Island Kitchen with Ivory Shaker Doors and Carrara Marble

We combined timeless silk-matt ivory lacquered shaker doors with cross-moulded glass display cabinets, Carrara marble and antique brass in a grand island kitchen. A monumental lacquered extractor surround and professional cast-iron range define a symmetrical cooking niche, complemented by full-height glass display towers and a brass-detailed island, bringing manor-house elegance and refined joinery craftsmanship.

We aimed to blend the warm, prestigious craftsmanship of classical palatial and luxury residential interiors with contemporary culinary comfort. Ivory lacquer, natural marble veins and antique brass enrich a symmetrical display arrangement, while brass-chain globe pendants and a monumental cooking axis make the kitchen a grand, timeless and welcoming living space.

Design Decisions That Transform the Space

This project combines the elegance of traditional manor and luxury-villa architecture with contemporary comfort. Silk-matt ivory/cream lacquered shaker doors, decorative cross-moulded glass display cabinets, large grey-veined Carrara/Statuario marble surfaces and antique brass details form the palette. A monumental extractor surround and professional freestanding range define a symmetrical rear-wall composition, supported by an independent island to create a grand, timeless and prestigious atmosphere.

Material and Colour Balance

Silk-matt ivory / light-cream lacquer warms the doors, drawer fronts, cornices and island body.

Velvet-textured raised shaker profiles on doors and drawers reflect classical craftsmanship.

Upper display cabinets on either side of the cooking zone have diamond/X-pattern cross-moulded glass doors. Tall side towers use vertically divided clear-glass doors.

White Carrara / Statuario marble with pronounced grey veining covers the working surfaces, island and splashback within the extractor niche.

Antique aged-brass cup handles on drawers and round brass door knobs strengthen the neoclassical character.

Concealed warm-yellow 3000K spotlights and linear LEDs highlight crystal tableware within the display cabinets and the marble veins beneath the extractor.

A luxury matt-anthracite/cast-iron freestanding range with brass handles and controls forms the cooking focal point.

Clear-glass globe pendants on brass chains above the island, a classical plaster ceiling rose and decorative cornices subtly reference palatial architecture.

Technical and Architectural Design

Central Symmetry and Sculptural Cooking Niche: A substantial lacquered extractor surround with concealed extraction, a professional range and flanking display cabinets establish the main architectural axis.

Full-Height Symmetrical Display Towers: Glass-fronted towers at both ends rise to cornices at the ceiling, offering generous display space for porcelain and stemware.

Multifunctional Island: A central island with an integrated sink, brass swan-neck tap, storage drawers and thick chamfered marble top supports uninterrupted preparation.

Crafted Classical Details: Profiled island corners and plinths, ceiling cornices and detailed glass mouldings demonstrate the joinery quality.
