This principal bedroom turns the headboard wall into sculptural storage architecture. Full-height finely fluted matt off-white lacquered surfaces (RAL 9010 Pure White / off-white) meet a natural oak-veneered bed niche. Symmetrical tall wardrobes around the bed, overhead modules, a vertical slatted timber backdrop within the niche, two levels of concealed linear LED lighting and long anthracite / black cylindrical vertical handles bring a warm, restful and modern Japandi-minimalist luxury atmosphere.
Material and Colour Balance
Fine vertical grooves define the matt off-white lacquered surfaces (RAL 9010) of the cabinetry, overhead modules and lower tall doors.
Natural oak veneer and solid timber slats are used for the deep recessed niche frame, upper open display shelf and vertical backdrop behind the bed.
Two concealed warm linear LED strips at 2700K–3000K are positioned along the ceiling of the upper open shelf and immediately above the slatted backdrop.
Slim matt-anthracite / black full-length vertical metal handles create modern graphic contrast on tall doors; overhead doors use push-to-open fittings.
Textured beige mélange / linen upholstery covers the headboard and bed base.
A suspended ceiling with a concealed lighting cove, natural oak herringbone parquet and a textured beige ribbed rug complete the calm tone-on-tone balance.
Technical and Architectural Design
Monolithic Headboard Storage: Cabinetry around the bed niche creates continuous wall-wide storage, removing clutter and unnecessary freestanding furniture from the room.
Acoustic and Lighting Layers: Vertical timber slats add acoustic comfort and depth, while the twin concealed LED lines create a restful night-time atmosphere at the headboard.
Surface Texture and Rhythm: Vertically grooved fronts replace plain lacquer, reducing the visual weight of the broad cabinet elevation and strengthening the vertical direction and perception of ceiling height.
