White Lacquer Hallway Wardrobe with Drawer Console and Full-Length Mirror

We combined silk-matt greige lacquer and warm natural dark walnut through a stepped architectural composition. A three-drawer console descends from full-height cabinetry beside a full-length mirror, honey-coloured pendant, walnut slatted coat wall and wave-textured cushioned storage bench, creating a sculptural, welcoming entrance without excessive visual weight.

We aimed to organise entrance storage and dressing through stepped volumes that avoid a uniform enclosed cabinet wall. A gradual transition from tall wardrobe to console and bench, a depth-enhancing mirror and walnut slats make the entrance a bright, practical and balanced architectural space.

Project Details

Design Decisions That Transform the Space

This entrance project lightens storage through a stepped architectural transition. Silk-matt greige/taupe lacquer, natural dark-walnut slats, a clear full-length mirror and brushed smoky-metal details form the palette. A full-height wardrobe on the left steps down to a walnut-topped three-drawer console and mirror at the centre, then to an open coat wall and wave-textured cushioned storage bench on the right, creating a warm sculptural luxury-home identity.

Material and Colour Balance

Silk-matt greige/taupe lacquer covers wardrobe doors, upper cupboards, drawer bodies and the bench base.

Natural dark-walnut veneer is used on the thick console top and across the open coat-storage backdrop.

A long matt-anthracite/smoky metal profile handle emphasises the left wardrobe joint. Concealed bevel/push-to-open details simplify console drawers and upper doors.

A clear full-length mirror behind the console rises to the ceiling, reflecting light and opening the room visually.

Light-beige bouclé/jacquard upholstery with a wave pattern and a round decorative cushion soften the seat.

Minimal matt-black coat hooks are integrated into the slatted wall.

A honey-glass globe pendant with brass details hangs before the mirror, adding a warm welcome.

Technical and Architectural Design

Full-Height Two-Door Wardrobe: Two tall doors and two overhead modules on the left provide continuous enclosed storage for seasonal clothing and long coats.

Stepped Three-Drawer Console: The drawers transition gently from the tall wardrobe towards bench height and provide a practical surface and storage for keys, wallets and accessories.

Full-Length Mirror Niche: The ceiling-height mirror above the console adds depth to the narrow corridor and allows a full outfit check before leaving.

Walnut Slatted Coat Wall: Vertical slats from ceiling to bench at the right add acoustic and visual warmth while providing open access for coats and scarves.

Enclosed Storage Bench: A corner seat makes shoe changing comfortable and provides concealed storage for slippers and shoe-care items below.

Soft Volume Hierarchy: The descent from wardrobe to console to low bench reduces visual weight and keeps the entrance spacious.

We combined silk-matt brown lacquered cabinetry, a solid oak bench and vertical timber panelling in a country-style mudroom. A full-height enclosed storage tower, concealed LED-lit shoe niches and brass coat hooks give the entrance hall generous storage and a warm welcome.

We combined silk-matt burgundy lacquer and natural dark walnut within a monolithic frame. Full-height wardrobes provide main storage, while a concealed LED-framed mirror portal, smoked-glass pendant, vertical bag display, suede-cushioned bench and open shoe shelves give the entrance a warm, welcoming and sculptural luxury-residential atmosphere.
